In just 15 minutes, elimination racing in the Louis Vuitton Cup will begin, with Artemis Racing and Luna Rossa Challenge starting their best of 7 series. The winner will go on to face Emirates Team New Zealand for the right to challenge Oracle Racing for the America's Cup.

Artemis Racing's boat, Big Blue, is only two weeks old, and the team has only had 7 days of sailing with it. After their other AC72 capsized and !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , Artemis designed their new boat to be much stronger.

Luna Rossa Challenge's Chrome Cat has been racing since the start of the Louis Vuitton Cup, but it's a big 0-fer against Emirates Team New Zealand.

Luna Rossa had trouble staying up on their foils during the Round Robin races against ETNZ, so watch to see if they have made any progress on that front. Luna Rossa would pop up onto their foils, but then fall off. Artemis, on the other hand, has had trouble in practice getting up onto their foils. Artemis looked like it was too far bow down and was plowing through the water.

Winds are currently 16.7 kts gusting to 17.9, with a 0.2 kt flood tide.

Negative on both. I'd love to go up for the LV final or the America's Cup races, but I've got school.

I saw a race between the Kiwis and the Italians in person a couple weeks ago. Just sat out on Fisherman's wharf and watched them go back and forth. They are really impressive in person. Even when that means from 1/4 to 1/2 a mile a way
